Katherine Eggar Family History: Life of Katherine Macdonald and Thomas Eggar

Katherine Eggar (née Macdonald) was born in 1850 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Her father, James Macdonald, was 34 at the time of her birth, and her mother, Catherine Macdonald, was 31. Katherine married Thomas Eggar in January 1873 in London. Together, they had three children. She passed away on 15 July 1939 in Sussex at the age of 89 and was buried in Bentley, Hampshire.

Her husband, Thomas Eggar (1849–1930), was a solicitor born in Binsted, Hampshire. His parents were James Eggar, aged 36, and Elizabeth Eggar, aged 27, at the time of his birth. Thomas Eggar married Katherine Macdonald in London in 1873, and the couple had three children during their marriage. He died on 24 March 1930 in Brighton, Sussex, at the age of 81 and was also buried in Bentley, Hampshire.
